# Connect your AI assistant

> Add Co-Invest to ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, Meta Muse, Cursor, or any MCP client.

Co-Invest is an MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Once connected, your assistant can research markets and propose trades on your Liquid account. Every trade still needs your confirmation.

The server address is:

```
https://coinvest.liquid.trade/mcp
```

Claude also accepts the shorter `https://coinvest.liquid.trade`. Other clients should use the full address with `/mcp`.

For agents that trade on their own, use [Co-Invest Computer](/co-invest/co-invest-computer).

## Permissions

The first time you connect, a Liquid sign-in page opens in your browser. You approve two permissions:

* **read:** market data, your portfolio, and account state.
* **trade:** placing and managing orders, each one confirmed by you.

The connection can't withdraw or transfer funds or change your account settings. To disconnect, remove the connector in your assistant's settings.

<Warning>Only approve access on a page at `app.liquid.trade` whose app name matches the assistant you're connecting. Never add the Co-Invest address to an app or site you don't recognize.</Warning>

## Troubleshooting

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="The connector won't connect">
    Check that you used `https://coinvest.liquid.trade/mcp`. If your client cached a failed attempt, remove the connector and add it again.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="The sign-in page shows an unverified-app warning">
    Less common MCP clients show this warning. Continue only if the page is on `app.liquid.trade` and the app name matches the client you're connecting. If anything looks off, stop and connect from ChatGPT or Claude instead.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title=""Trading not enabled" on your first trade">
    Your account either isn't funded yet or hasn't approved its trading key. Co-Invest tells you which and walks you through it: usually a [deposit](/account/deposit) or a quick approval in the browser.
