# Markets on Liquid

> The markets you can trade on Liquid: crypto, US stocks, pre-IPO companies, indices, commodities, FX, and prediction markets.

Liquid puts every market in one app with one balance. Most markets are [perpetual futures](/about-liquid/what-are-perpetual-futures), so you can go long or short with a multiplier.

## Categories

| Category | Examples | What you trade |
| - | - | - |
| Crypto | BTC, ETH, SOL, HYPE | Perps and [spot](/trading/spot-trading) |
| US stocks | TSLA, AAPL, NVDA, GOOGL, SpaceX | Perps that track the share price |
| Pre-IPO | OpenAI, Anthropic | Perps on the company's implied valuation |
| Indices | S\&P 500, Nasdaq 100 | Perps |
| Commodities | Gold, silver, oil, copper | Perps |
| FX | EUR/USD, GBP/USD, USD/JPY | Perps |
| Prediction markets | Elections, sports, economics | Yes/No shares. See [Prediction markets](/predictions/how-predictions-work) |

## Pre-IPO markets

Pre-IPO markets let you trade companies that aren't public yet. The price tracks the company's implied valuation: 1 point equals \$1B. If OpenAI trades at 500, the market values it at about \$500B.

## Multipliers

The maximum multiplier depends on the market. Crypto perps go up to 40x. The order form always shows the maximum for the market you're on. See [Leverage](/trading/leverage).

## Trading hours

Markets are open 24/7. Stocks, indices, commodities, and FX keep trading when their home exchanges are closed, so prices can move on weekends and holidays. Liquidity is usually thinner outside regular hours.

## Where orders go

Liquid routes each market to deep on-chain liquidity. You don't need a separate account for any of it. Fees and order minimums can differ by market, and the order ticket shows the total before you confirm. See [Fees](/trading/fees).
